BATCH UPDATE INVENTORY PRICING?
|
|
|
Okay, I've got a bunch of inventory and auction lots listed on eBay. If I want to update my pricing is there a way to do it besides one at a time?
Importing Inventory or Auction Lots just seems to create new records. It will not update existng (or am I wrong)?
If I want to change the purchase price and selling price of 100 items I must manually edit both the Inventory record and the Auction Lot for each, 400 manual edits.
Surely there is a better way?
Thanks,
Butch

hi Butch
Sure is
Go into Grid View,
Select the records that you wish to change the price.. Right click and choose "Change Start price Change Reserve price Change Buy price
Whatever is what you need to do. The prices can be increased/decreased by a percentage, Cleared, assigned another value.
The price change will effect all selected records. So if you are doing a specific price change then be sure the records you have selected all need to be that price.

Judy,
That solution isn't as useful as importing data to existing records. First you still can't change "item cost" that way. Is there a way? Vendors change prices. Not always by a fixed percentage or amount. As vendors change my purchase price, I have to change my selling price. Again, not usually by a fixed amount or percentage. I would not markup a $10 item the same amount or percentage as a $500 item. It seems to make more sense to export records in a spreadsheet, update the spreadsheet then import the changes. It would also make sense to be able to link the inventory item prices and auction lot prices. Mine are always the same and it just means I have to update everything twice.
Thanks,
Butch

HI Butch,
No you cannot but that is a great idea.. Thanks! I will pass that along to tech..
The records can be exported to CSV but they cannot be re-imported to override existing records.
