Fixed Price Autions

Could someone tell me if there is a way to list a new item with a fixed price with AW? I have only been listing regular auctions and Ebay store items for quite a while now. Once in a while I've had a few make an offer items in the store but I don't think I've ever done any of the fixed price items before.

I know that when I list an auction with a buy price filled in it will list as buy it now until it gets a bid. I use a separate store profile and put in a buy price to list as buy it now listed in my store for 30 day or GTC. That now cost $.03 for 30 days but before long there won't be any store listings like now as far as I understand it. And for the life of me I can't understand how to list in the fixed price format and get the .10 price they are promoting. And as I understand it all the regular store items will need to be listed as fixed price items after the end of the month.

I'm trying to list a few items to get the hang of the coming changes but I'm so confused by the differences I don't know if I'll be up to par or not. The more I've read on Ebay the more confused I get! The only way I've been able to get a fixed price item up for sale was by using the send to fixed price function on Ebay to transfer a store item to a fixed price item.

And is the fixed price cost different for the number of days? I've been selling on Ebay and using AW for a long time but the last few weeks seems like I'm completely lost!

HI

No problem.

Just move the fixed price to the 'buy price" field and delete the "Start price."

You can also change the duration field to 30 days by clicking the drop down.

Does that help?

Hi Judy,

Thanks vey much. Yes that helped a lot. I think I had done this before but I had forgotten about deleting the "start price".

I'm able to list fixed price listing for one item now. But I still don't see a way to list the fixed prices for more than one of the same item. Is that possilbe with AW or do I need to list the same as for one item and then go on Ebay and revise the listing?

Thanks .

Bertie

Yes you can most certainly list a qty greater than 1...

Once the Auction lot is created. just click on the Qty box on the Auction lot above the "Start" price field. Highlight the qty, hit delete and enter in the qty you want to offer.

Does that help?

I forgot to tell you

The qty in Inventory Items, if you use Inventory Items, needs to be the same or greater than the qty you enter into the Auction lot or you will get an error telling you the Inventory Item is now running in the negative. Super handy dandy.

And as you sell items from that Auction lot, you can see how many has been sold on the Auction lot itself by looking at the "Quantity sold" field. That field is located directly to the right of the "ItemCost" field.

The "Quantity" offered originally does not change. but the number is correctly reduced on eBAy and in AW2000. So if you have a Quantity of let's say 10 on a Fixed price listing.

And you sell 2. The "Quantity Sold" field will show the 2. The "Quantity" box right above the "Start price" will still show 10. That way you can keep track of how many you offered originally.

And the Inventory items Committed Quantities box will correctly show you how many are still on the Auction lot as well as how many are on any INvoices whose status is not Shipped yet.

Does that make sense??
