Hey all,
I don't know about the rest of you, but I am still having problems, even after installing the update. I am running the non-beta version, and I'm still unable to list or update lots. I have dozens of auctions that came off unsold today that need to be relisted, along with 55 lots ready to list. Please let me know when this situation is resolved.
Thanks,
M.J. Christensen

Me too. Just installed the update to non-beta version and I'm still getting the HTML error message.

I also downloaded the update this morning. I deleted the email, but read on the announcement board that the update was only for those running the beta version? If that is correct, I wonder if I should not have downloaded the update.

I had the same problem a few days ago (Error: HTTP Error Code 10035). To fix it try checking the box labeled "Use Winlnet API" under the File Menu / Advanced Internet Settings. This worked for me and I have had no problems since.

Changing the Advanced Internet Settings under the File menu doesn't fix this particular problem. This problem is related to changes that eBay made that affect Log In. Although I knew it wouldn't work, I tried it and that doesn't correct the problem. I can't update or list any lots, even after installing the update last night either. After realizing that the update didn't work, I emailed Thom and told him that it didn't noting that I reran the "Check for Program Updates" and received the message that I had the latest version installed. As of 2:40 PM Central time, I hadn't received a reply to this message.

I emailed Thom regarding this issue. He told me to do the following, and it worked for me. I don't know if it will work for anyone else, but it's worth a try:
1. Go to File, Advanced Internet Settings 2. Check the box marked "Use WinInet API" 3. Close AW2K and restart.
As I said, this may not work for everyone, but it did work for me.

Ah that fix works. It seems enough people are having the problem so that an email update might be worth sending out.

I sure am happy that we have this message board. I got the email about the fix but when I did it I was still having problems. I wrote Thom and kicked back waiting for an answer. Then I come here and find out that you have shut AW down and restart it, then it will work....well, blow me down if that didn't work!! Thank guys...now to email Thom and confess to being clueless.

In reply to:
2. Check the box marked "Use WinInet API"
Thank youl! That solved the problem for me as well. The odd thing about the error message is that it only occurred when updating one of five auctions that I have the close tomorrow - always the same auction.

Hello All, This fix does NOT work for everyone. I've tried changing that Advanced setting and then shutting down and restarting and it doesn't work. I've emailed Thom twice for help but I'm not getting an answer. Anyone else tried anything else that has worked?

I'm not a techie, but I find it strange that the fix works for some and not for others. I'm wondering if IE settings can affect whether the problem disappears. Have a look at this setting if you use Internet Explorer:
Tools > Internet Options > Advanced
In the "Security" section, make sure that "Warn if changing between secure and not secure mode" is unchecked.

Wow, I've been hunting for the solution to this problem for days! Thank you, that fix worked for me! I wish I could have gotten an answer to my email to tech support though, it could have saved some aggravation!
Thanks!

I'm having this same problem tonight. I tried both suggestions and am still experiencing the probs.
FYI, I am able to use CTRL-D to manually update one auction at a time. Luckily, I only have 10 or so up tonight, but this weekend I plan on listing 55. Hope it's fixed by then!

The fixes also didn't work for me - my computer still crashes completely when I try to run update auctions in WinInet API. However, the latest update (796) seems to have solved the problem for me. I still can't update with WinInet API checked (my system crashes and I have to run the rebuild utility to be able to open AW again).
