Image Resizing

Hi everyone! Here's a tip for those having problems with the 2GB limit on the image database. Auction Wizard stores the original photos that you add to an auction lot in a database. When you take pictures with a digital camera, the file size of the picture is enormous and AW2K's image database can run out of room quickly forcing you to delete pictures all the time if you have hundreds of auctions going.

So, one way to get around that is to resize the pictures using AW2K's image editor. An easier way, though, is to use a free batch conversion progam such as IrfanView. You can add all of your pictures to IrfanView quickly and then resize them all at once. Set the advance options in IrfanView to resize the long side of the image to the same number of pixels that you set in AW2K's program options (when AW2K uploads an auction this is the size that it converts the image to in your listing). IrfanView can also do other things like sharpen, enhance, and more.

You'll never really have problems again!

Hope this helps, and if you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
