Import Revisions?

If you totally revise an auction at eBay (price, description, add links, etc.), can that one Lot be imported? If so, that would be a much easier way to get the Lot up to speed for a possible relist than to "manually" duplicate all the changes in AW. And if that can't be done, and assuming the item sells, when it is updated, will AW recognize the price it actually sold for?

Sue,

If you delete the Auction id from the original lot, then yes. Othewise no. But keep in mind, the imported Auction lot will look strange. It might be easier to just paste the altered Auction title line and description into AW2000.

If you elect to delete the Auction id and import, you can always clean up the description and add the images to the imported auction lot. You would just want to be sure and delete the original Auction lot after the import so you do not accidentally list an auction lot that you do not have adequate product for. If that makes sense

When the Auction is updated, the "Sale" price will be what is recorded. It works the same if you use the "Mark Down manager" The reduced price is what stores in the "Sale price" field on the Auction lot and on the Invoice.

Does that help?

Sue,

Don't cogitate too long... Hard on the brain waves

Let us all know what you decide to do and how it works out.

I'd like to ask a related question.

My question is what about adding ugrades to your listing for a consignor? During my first trial of Auction2000 I fogot to check gallery which adds an extra .35 to my consignor's bill. I want that to reflect in the invoice and auction lot report for this conseignor. How do I accomplish that?

Hi,

If the Auction lot was revised on eBay and the Gallery added after you listed the lot, the fee will not automatically store. Fees are returned by eBay when the Auction is listed. Revision costs are not.

You can add charges onto the Auction lot by clicking on the 'Additional Fields" tab. In the lower right hand corner you will see the Auction fees box.

Click the "+" icon. You can add the "Gallery" charge in that box. The charge will then appear on your consignor report.

Does that help?
