Auction Profile Duration Not Updating as set
|
|
|
Having some issues. Changing all my Store Profile Items to fixed priced and noticed that the duration didn't update properly.
Thank goodness for grid view, bulk editing but i am wondering why it, the duration, isn't changing as set up in the auction profile.
I have a profile set up for Fixed Priced 30 day. Within that profile duration is set to 30. But when i change a lot, either with the bulk, right click menu, or one at a time. The duration defaults to 7 days. Am i missing something or is it a AW2K glitch, within my copy or for everyone?
Insight, please!
Thanks!

The default duration is not governed by the Auction profile but rather by the Inventory Items. If you change the duration on the "EBay" next to the selected category to 30 days, the Auction lots duration will be 30 days as well.
Does that help?

Judy,
Ok.................... But why?
Why is it governed by that and then why is there a duration setting within the auction profiles?
And then do you have to go into inventory and change durations if you just change it in the Auction Lots? My guess is that you do. Thank goodness for the right click grid view option!
I've got it working, other than the inventory duration, but just curious!

The Inventory item settings override Auction profile settings for shipping and eBay durations.
If you set the duration on the Auction lot, it will continue to hold even though the Inventory item is set to something different. Even if the Auction lot is duplicated, the duration will be what the parent Auction lot is set to. I hope that makes sense.
If the Inventory Item will be used for only 30 day fixed price, then you can change the duration on that particular inventory item. Or like you have done, use the Grid view. Which is what I do.
I hope that helps..??
