Update error new

When I try to "Check for program updates" I get this error message:

Error: Unable to update program update information.

But when I list I get an error that ebay is saying my item specifics are out of date and to do this update.

Could this be because I am still within my free trial? I do intend to buy the program when my trial is up.

Hello,

Contacted Thom Friday morning about the same error.
He replied that they, the Auction Wizard Team are having issues with the "update host server" and are working to fix the problem.
I am sure they will have it resolved soon.

Thank you moonstruck22 for the info, I was about to e-mail Thom myself about this problem and I decided to check the boards first, your information was timely and appreciated.

Re: Update error new [re: ftegal]

Hi, all.

The warning returned by eBay concerning Item specifics out of date will not cause the auction lot to fail. The only thing that will happen is the Item specifics on the Auction listing will not appear. At least the ones that are not right..

Categories are another matter. If the category is out of date, the Auction lot will fail. If you select another relevant category that doesn't need to be updated, the Auction lot will fail. Otherwise, you will have to wait until the provider has fixed the issue for the AW2000 update server...

Judy,
Thanks for adding those very important details. I knew that but failed to address the other issue.
I also don't know if the server issue has been resolved hadn't tried to update since Friday I won't know till tomorrow morning!

Re: Update error new [re: bluepennylady]

Hello all,

I've had the same problem updating AW2K since Thursday July 31st. I've been in touch with Thom and he replyed on Thursday there's a problem with their update server and they're working to repair it.

As of Monday morning Aug 4 I still can't update.

Is this problem effecting everyone? Is there a work around to get the latest updates?

Thank you.

Re: Update error new [re: zookz]

Good Morning,

The problem is with the provider where the server is hosted... That is what is creating the issue. If it was the AW2K tech team, why the thing would have already been fixed as soon as it was down..

Yes, everyone is currently affected..

If your categories are out of date and causing the Auction lots to fail, then you might consider switching to another category that is current. That is if the item will fit appropriately into another category.

As soon as the update server is back up I will post.

Re: Update error new [re: bluepennylady]

Thank you, Judy/blue, for your reply.

I've been a user of AW2K for years and have found it to be virtually bullet-proof and Thom and the AW team have always been helpful and quick to respond.

My copy of AW has been posting auctions ok this weekend ... I make a habit of checking for updates almost every day and I must have the latest update available.
