Item Specifics

Why is it that when I'm relisting auctions & I want to change the duration.....say from a 7 day to a 30 day auction, I usually have to refill the Category Section & my Item Specifics has to be filled in or changed?
Am I doing something wrong? I change the Auction Profile first (from a regular auction to a 30 day auction) and I change the listing template....not sure why I usually have to refill or fix the item specifics....
I'd like to just relist auctions in the grid view, but I have to go in & check every auction to make sure the item specifics are right.....any suggestions??

Thanks!

MIckey,

Item specifics and the category fields are completed on an Auction lot from the Inventory Item. IF the category field is empty on the Inventory Item, then when you change Auction profiles (ebay to eBay store or visa versa) then the category field will be blank on the Auction lot.

The same thing happens with Item specifics. eBay changes the category and Item specifics sometimes several times a week. So when there is a category and/or Item specifics update, the affected category or Item specific fields in AW2000 will end up blank.

Does that make sense?

Yes, that makes sense.....so do you relist your items in the grid view?

Thanks!

Re: Item Specifics new [re: mouse]

Mickey,

Yes I do use the Grid view for queueing multiple records..

However, I list in groups of like kinds. For instance, I may sort the grid by Titles so all the same type of title lines are together. If those particular auction lots need attention like the category or Item specifics need to be fixed, I'll move on to another section. Or sometimes I'll just go through and fix them right then. Depends on how much time I have...

Since I am doing stuff in groups, then usuallly the category is the same. So I just copy the category number. Then on the next Auction lot when the category selection box opens up, I'll paste the category number in the top and it is done. Much faster than clicking through all the category tiers.
