HI,
Advantages, huh... hummm, let me count the ways
Okay, I'll be serious now--if that is possible
First and foremost, remember, if it isn't in writing, it didn't happen. So you have to keep records of email communication with your buyers. All email communications between you and the buyer needs to be retained for a certain period of time. Just in case there is a dispute, etc. So just imagine having 50 buyers at a time that you have to keep track of the emails in gmail. or Outlook express, Eudora, INcredmail, Windows mail, or whatever you use. It can be daunting at best.
AW2000 slicks up the email handling quite nicely. First any email sent out of AW2000 from the buyer's Invoice contains the Invoice number in the subject line. When the buyer replies back to the email, the email is automatically associated with the Invoice. Meaning it goes to the correct Invoice without you having to do a single thing.
If the buyer just emails, you can easily find the correct Invoice for the buyer by using the email address, or user id, or any number of methods and manually associate the email with the Invoice.
If you use AW2000 as it is intended and designed, the Invoice status' will change as you progress through the process. And each step of the process can generate automatic emails to the buyers. Winning bidder notifications, payment notifications, shipping notices, feedback notices. The templates you edit and modify to fit your particular situation and needs.
Using email templates is more efficient than typing each message to every buyer. Email templates also are more consistent in terms of responses and professionalism. You are less likely to leave out an important piece of information if you have added the info to your templates. And on a bad hair day when you are running on low and someone irritates the fire out of you, you are less likely to sound unprofessional in response when using a pre-designed template. AW2000 email templates include field tags which automatically pull important information from the Invoice so you don't have to type it. There is an editor for the templates so you can add more field tags if you want to.
To help visualize how associating email works, imagine you create a file folder for every buyer. And every time the buyer emails you, you print off the email and stick it into the file folder in order of email received. Anytime you need to see the email, you open the file and look through the paperwork.
AW2000 creates the file for you except without all the paper All the emails are in order they are received. I hope that makes some sense.
AW2000 contains a "Search" function in the email tab/window. You can search for email, resend the email. Create new messages. Reply to an email with a template. Or reply and type whatever you want.
Have I won you over yet..??

Hi,
Excellent! No need to feel silly at all. That is an excellent question.
eBay allows Store sellers to display a single auction in two of their own categories if the Auction fits in two categories.
Let's say, for instance, you have books. They are art books. And in your store you have a "Books" category And you have an "Arts/Crafts" category. You could choose "Books" for the first Store category. And the "Arts/Crafts" category for the second. Keep in mind the STore categories are what you have created inside your store.
Your Store categories can have sub-levels if you want. That way you can break up a single category to make it more buyer friendly. Easier for your buyer's to find goodies.
Does that explain it better?
