Access Violation

My email was acting a little goofy yesterday. When I tried to empty the trash can or click on any email, I got the message "Access Violation at address 0B180040. Read of address 0B180040."
What does this mean? When I doubleclicked on any emails, they wouldn't open, just seemed to disappear! I shut Auction Wizard off, went back to it awhile later & it seemed OK (so far)!
I had just done a disk cleanup & scanned the hard drive over the weekend.
Also......after Auction Wizard gets all my mail, I get the message "No email account added for this address." Or something like that! Is this important?
Thanks!
Mickey

MIckey,

A read of address violation error requires a restart. Restarting your computer will correct it.

Now the email thing is a mystery. You have been retrieving email fine, haven't you???

Mickey,

Okay the email error message, Since I just skipped right over that Gee whiz I am so sorry. I need a new brain today. Or maybe another cup of coffee.

That error message means one of your email accounts does not have an email address in the Email address field.

Go to File | Email accounts. And click through the list. Check all the fields on every email account especially the EMail address field. If it is blank, then complete it.

Let me know if that resolves the problem or not.

Re: Access Violation new [re: bluepennylady]

I have tried restarting the computer. It's OK for a few emails & then I get the error message again. As long as nothing is wrong, I guess I'll just let it go!

Re: Access Violation new [re: bluepennylady]

Thanks Judy! I didn't even check that because I only have one email account! Apparently I must have clicked on the next line & left it blank! I deleted that now, so everything should be fine. I should have figured that out!
Thanks!

Mickey,

Great news! You might not have known to check for a missing field until you ran into an issue.

I am glad you are up and running,

Automatic emails new [re: bluepennylady]

I just have a quick question about my email templates.
I was sending out some reminder emails.....when I do that, there is no amount listed for shipping & handling. Is that because I use calculated shipping?
It shows the amount due for the item, then it shows $0.00 for shipping & handling....then for total due, it just shows what the item sold for.
Is there a way I can change that? I have been letting eBay send out my invoces, but I want to quit that by the end of this month & send out my own winner notices. Will that have the shipping & handling or will I have to figure each one???
Thanks again for everyone's help!
Mickey

Re: Automatic emails new [re: mouse]

MIckey,

Using Calculated shipping requires you to complete the "Shipping cost" on each Invoice. As well as the "Insurance cost" if applicable. There isn't a way in the world for anyone to guess what method of shipping a buyer will elect if you offer three choices. Which is really just good customer service to allow the buyer the choice.

Once you complete the Shipping and INsurance cost fields, the Total amount due will be correct.

Does that help?
