test pop3 settings not working...

i just downloaded auction wizard 2000 and have setup my e-email account with all the correct settings (my isp is cox communications and yes, they do support pop3/smtp.) every time i click the 'test smtp settings' button, it works fine but when i click the 'test pop3 settings' button it comes back with the following error message:

"unable to login to pop3 server. check the pop3 username and password fields."

i do have a firewall in place, could that be causing problems?

thanks in advance,

gary

Make sure your isp is ported to 110 for pop3 mail. Port 110 is standard, but sometimes isp's configure their systems differently than the standard.

Do not cut and paste your username and password from another program or a web page into Auction Wizard. This sometimes will leave invisible blank spaces depending on the editor that is cutting and pasting. Type them by hand.

Good luck!

Joe
