Re: Poll: How many AW users sell on Etsy and/or Bonanza? new [re: auctions1329]

Hi

If there isn't going to be full integration, the ability to create customizable URL fields on an auction lot would be super.. So if you click the blue world on an Auction lot it would direct to the listing on the site. That way you can "see" the listing without having to go to the site, log in blah blah blah.. My staff would love to be able to see the listing page like they can on eBay.

Just a me too!

What I generally do to find the Etsy lot online is use Google. Enter the item ID number and the word Etsy, and the result will almost always show a link to your listing page. Fastest way I know of. But it would be very cool if AW could add support for Judy's idea, so the blue-globe icon worked for unsupported sites.

And just wanted to say it's me, Sue. I re-registered. Some old sleeping-cat photo.

Well everyone, I think its time to Beg, grovel, plead, and even bribe Thom to help all of us look at other sites. With the *reduced* (HAHAHAHAHAHA) fees, the other sites are really looking to be far more attractive. I have been a PROUD user of his software for over 200,000 listings, and I for one who like to resurrect this request.
Thom Do you think you could crunch some numbers to see what you would have to get for another module for the other sites? Say a bonanza module would be $X.XX, an esty site would be$X.XX or the XYZ site would be this?
eBay truly fails to realize that without sellers, there will be no buyers, and with no buyers there will be no FVF, and no FVF means a continued downward spiral. Maybe they are going the way of Blockbuster Video...Who knows..
Maybe but out a blanket email to see if there is interest to any/all that use the software. Im shotgunning this as eBay and Paypal have gotten enough of my money, and this is my tipping point.
Thanks for the read!

Re: Poll: How many AW users sell on Etsy and/or Bonanza? new [re: earl]

It's been 18 months since I posted that "Poll." I list almost nothing on ebay now; I have hundreds of things on Etsy. I'm so used to the tedious process of logging an Etsy sale into my AW database, I forget how much faster that process is when it's a site supported by AW.

Ok, I'll beg..........Thom, P L E E E Z E add Etsy and Bonanza.

There are programs out there that do support Etsy. I've tried and discarded each one. They are too lightweight or not customizable enough, some don't store your data on your own hard drive.........all pale in comparison to AW2k.

In connection with Etsy, I'm not sure the site makes their API available to programmers yet, so perhaps we need to be begging the various site administrators to open up their source codes (or whatever the terminology should be).

Don't know about Bonanza, but Etsy is really the only other site besides Ebay and Amazon that has real traction.

They also have a section for developers using their API:

https://www.etsy.com/developers/

Maybe Thom doesn't realize just how big Etsy is.

On Average Etsy -

Sells around $100 million of items per month
Lists around 2-3 million items per month
Signs up over 1 million new members each month
Receives over 1 Billion page views each month

and if Thom is wondering if he'd have a growing community of customers, he might note that Etsy is growing at around 60% per year.

Hi

I would like to have Bonanza and Amazon too. At least be able to pull in orders directly from Amazon. Manually adding the names/addresses from Amazon is a pain. Takes several steps.

Bonanza is pretty easy because the names come in on the PP payment receipt. But still have to manually upload tracking to each sold transaction which can be a pain.

I know many sellers are moving to Etsy.

Never know what AW2K might consider. Doesn't hurt to ask

HI

Amazon will send a CSV file of all orders but the name and addresses have to be concatunated so the the info is in one cell. Otherwise it is still copy/paste buyer name/address into AW2000.

we are using shipworks now because the manual uploading tracking to Amazon is too difficult and time consuming. Not to mention that Endicia has become unreliable in uploading tracking to eBay.
