New Update Error new [re: ]

I backed up my database, did a rebuild and then I did the program update. When I try to launch AuctionWizard I get the following:

Exception EDatabase error in module AW2000.exe at 00285686. EmailAccounts: Field 'Pop3TLSMode' not found.

I wasn't having problems with any of the information before. What needs to be done now?

I'm getting the same error. I really hope they can fix this soon because this is the worst time to be down with the Holiday season and all.

Re: New Update Error new [re: auctions1329]

I got mine working by going into the announcement thread and downloading the manual updater. I tried rebuilding database first, but still continued getting the error. I rebooted and used that manual updater. I haven't tried listing anything yet, but it opens up and seems to be working ok now. Hope that helps, good luck!

Hmmm... when running the latest manual upgrade it hangs on "Checking for previously installed components"

Re: New Update Error new [re: auctions1329]

OK, so here's what I specially did to resolve this problem (which just a clarification of what is already posted).

1. Fresh installed AK200
2. Restored database.
(I always install AW200 in my user folder for easier bulk backup)
3. Place the latest manual update file in the same root folder that AW2000 exists.
4. Reboot
5. Run as administrator the update.

Thanks for all the reply help already listed.

Re: New Update Error new [re: auctions1329]

Final note. As always, I received fast support from the author, Mr. Withgott confirming everything we've said above.

Regarding the error message:
"The "Field POP3TLSMode not found" error happens when the database fails to upgrade after all of the updated components are installed. Running the update installer again can fix it, but sometimes additional steps are required."

Regarding the update hanging on my computer"
"The update installer locking up is a different kind of problem. It is possible that the installer was searching your computer for installations of AW2000. When the update installer starts running it checks the system registry for locations of known AW2000 installations. If none are found, or the installer cannot validate any of the installations, then it begins searching all of the drives on the system for valid installations. This can take several minutes. During the search the drive activity light on the computer will blink often. When the search completes the update installer will save the locations of any installations that were found in the Windows Registry, so the search won't be needed next time you install an update."

For the record, I've just shipped today's items and everything works perfectly.

I followed thse instructions:
1. Fresh installed AK200
2. Restored database.
(I always install AW200 in my user folder for easier bulk backup)
3. Place the latest manual update file in the same root folder that AW2000 exists.
4. Reboot
5. Run as administrator the update.

I even uninstalled and reinstalled Auction Wizard but I am still getting this error.

I think I need to know what the "additional steps" are.

Re: New Update Error new [re: mmercer]

Fixed it.

I ran UpgradeDbV34 and then ran UpgradeDb.

All good now.
