overwritting Aw  

Has anyone overwriten AW? If so, does this protect your database? My current verision is inoperable and I was hoping to be running this afternoon

Mike,

Yes I have overwritten my AW2000. I did a database backup and burned a DVD but nothing was affected by the overwrite.

You are not replacing data but directories when you install a copy on top of a copy. Does that make sense? You won't lose email, buyer information, auction lots or anything else. You should, as a precaution, make a backup of your database. If AW2000 will not allow you to run the backup utility, then burn a hard copy of your database using whatever CD/DVD burning software you use of your AW2000 database. That is just a good practice. To always make a backup before you do anything.
