Email

I was just wondering about adding another feature into Auction Wizard. I think this is the place to post this. When I am viewing my emails and using the left/right arrows to change messages I am always wanting to move the message to a new folder after I've read it. It doesn't seem to happen when the message is open. It may be just me but sometimes I forget what the heck I wanted to do with a message after I close it! That sounds bad but it's the truth :D

Thanks,
Cher

Cher,

You can only move an email to another folder when the email is unopened by either right clicking and selecting Move to folder> Or use "Message > Move to folder.

Sorry those are the only 2 options

Cher,

Well I could pass the suggestion on to the programming techincal whiz man and see what he says.

Okay, okay, I can't stand tears. I'll ask. And let you know

Re: Email new [re: substance292]

Cher,

I want to clarify something about moving email. You can move the email while it is open by clicking on the "Email" tab, navigating to the email again, Click on it so it is blue. The right click and select Move to Folder. Or use the menu "Message > Move to folder"

But you cannot move it from the Email Reader Window when it is opened. Does that make sense??.

Re: Email new [re: substance292]

Cher,

I asked. AND, it is theortically possible so the suggestion has been added to the suggestion last.

Way to go girl! Keep those suggestions coming.

Hi Judy,
That does make sense and I tried that. The problem I encountered was that after I moved the message and went back to the reader window I received an error message when I tried to change messages. And I message this and message that messages in messages in the message for the messages message too. I feel like I'm under a big pile of messages all of the sudden. Anyway, I had to close and start again with the reader window.

Re: Email new [re: substance292]

Cher,

Boy do I hear you there girl. I have had those type of error messages before.

I am not sure what caused the error message but it would make sense, at least to me, that if you have opened the email in a certain folder, you would be unable to change the email while it was opened.

But I will ask.

Re: Email new [re: bluepennylady]

Hi Judy,
I think that's exactly right, the reader couldn't find the message so it couldn't move from it. Maybe we shouldn't bother the Techy Guy with this?

Re: Email new [re: substance292]

Cher,

Maybe not but we wouldn't want the Techy guy to not have something to do. Then he might resort to chasing cars or something. End up in trouble, you just never know. So if we keep him busy, he will stay out of trouble.

Well, at least it sounds good anyway

Judy,

Yes, it sounds good in theory. Wonder if it would work on my 14 YO son?

Re: Email new [re: substance292]

Cher,

You just never know it might. I use to tell my boys I was keeping them busy so they would not chase cars. And if I caught them chasing cars I would tie gunny sacks to the wheels so when they would get caught in the sacks and thumbed around. They always just laughed at me. Never took me serious. I can't imagine why

Cher,

I am so sorry. I will feel sorry for you. I know EXACTLY how you feel, boys laughing at you. Why those twin sons of ours would just laugh at me.
