Re: missing the most important feature for listing new [re: bluepennylady]

Oh, there it is. I've been using the tutorial and never noticed the forum link in the main help file. Best place to hide something is in plain site. I'll use my glasses next time :)

agreed this is something i had been suggesting for awhile and not sure why it never made it in...

simply, if we can select the day an auction launches, why not the day AND time? no workarounds, no other ways to psuedo implement this... just a simple date and time to launch each item would be GREAT! :)

HI, Randy,

You can import all your auctions if you want. It is not an efficient form of management to do so.

If you import live auctions, you can most certainly update auction lots, generate invoices and handle all the backend functions.

The term "update auctions" in AW2000 refers to updating bid and buyer information via the API. AW2000 will go to eBay and retrieve all changed information. If nothing has changed since the last update, you will receive a notification. Otherwise all the changed information is retrieved and stored in the database. If anything has sold, the "status of all online Auctions" dialog box will have a "Generate Invoices" located in the lower right hand side. Click that button to generate invoices for buyers.

I am presuming you have already found the import auctions feature by going to the "Auctions" tab/window. Clicking on "Auction site | Import Auctions.....for profile xxxxx"

You are given the option of importing online auctions only or all auctions.

Keep in mind, when importing, the Images do not import. And auction descriptions are stored with all HTML etc, so they have to be cleaned up before listing or uploading the AW2K generated websites to your website.

Yes you can use AW2K to send the listings to your website. You will need to add hyperlinks to your website for each AW2K generated website you configure. The Auctions are "assigned" to the website when either Queued for listing or when online. You determine which when you are Queueing the Auction lot for listing. That option appears on the "Queue lot for listing" dialog box. You can configure as many AW2K generated websites as you want. And you can elect to use Thumbnail and Lot pages. Or simply thumbnail pages.

Since you are familiar with HTML, you might find converting the templates to pure HTML a real plus as you have better control over the fine details. I would strongly suggest you consider duplicating and renaming any of the template(s) you are considering using. And edit the duplicate. If you elect to start over, you will still have the original to do so.

I hope that helps a bit.

Hi,

I am passing suggestion back to the tech team again. You might consider dropping the tech team an email as well.
