When to schedule your auction

Hi - someone was wondering about the best time to put up an auction. You can go and do research on: http://www.mpire.com/research/login.page This is free. You type in the name of your item you would like to list, like Marie Osmond doll and press search. It will give you the percentage that sold, the key words they used in the title, time of day most items sold, day of week, upgrades, etc. It is a very helpful tool to use. Wish you continued success with your eBay auctions.

Happy eBaying

Hi,

Hey thanks! Now that is just pretty cool. You have to create an account in order to use the "search" function but the account is free as you said. Just pretty slick!

You are so welcome. Everyone helping everyone else makes EVERYONE A success.

I do have a question for your Judy, but it really doesn't relate to this, but on pictures. I downloaded the trial version of Bling! It and it is nice, but I'm finding it rather time consuming as some times I put up a lot of pictures to show condition on my items. I went to your auction items to see what you do, but you only have a couple of pictures each. So I'm thinking that by only doing the first picture and then using regular pictures for the rest of it should be okay. Has anyone else had this concern/problem?

Judy, do you also find that your items sell better? You know, going around the lines sometimes is worst then coloring as a kid, trying to stay in the line.

Happy eBaying!

Wilma,

Actually my staff only uses Bling! It on the first image and sometimes the second. The first image is really important as that is the Gallery shot.

Did you know you don't have to trace around the image? If you wait for Bling! It to outline the image, you can increase the brush size a bit, then hold down the shift key. And start clicking. And all the little outlines will fill in for you.

You can also just make the brush size large and start clicking and all the cells will fill in for you. Doesn't take very long at all.

WE did some testing when we first installed Bling!IT. I listed auctions with the exact same everything except the images. One was Blinged the other not. The Blinged image auctions had more watchers, more sold and brought more money than the unBlinged image auctions.

In fact we did the testing over the last 6 weeks or so. Only one workstation had Bling! It. I installed a second copy yesterday on the other workstation because the results are much better for the Bling!IT images.

Or the results were better for us anyway.

Re: When to schedule your auction new [re: bluepennylady]

Thanks for posting back so fast. I'll try that tomorrow. Time to go and make supper. And I know this doesn't relate to Bing! It, but I was looking at the auction site 3Crater and it sure looks like it might also be of help for those items that might be a little higher priced and harder to sell. Will check into that tomorrow as well as maybe selling on Amazon (Selling on the River as some call it).

Have a GREAT evening!
