Globe http link not working?
|
|
|
Since today, pressing in AW2K on the globe that links to an Ebay item does not result in display of the Ebay item, but insteda I get the local windows explorer shping a l;ist of my local files at C:\Documents and Settings\....
It happens on both our PCs so it is not a keyboard setting or PC configurantion issue.
Does anyone else have this? Any suggestion how to resolve this?

Peter: I had something similar happen to me a few weeks back. My problem was that I had created a profile for an auction site not supported by AW2K. That profile was in the auction lot (Auction Profile drop down box) and that was giving me the problem. It sent me to the same C:/ drive directory that you are getting. I read your problem and went to my regular eBay profile and deleted the ID and then went and clicked on the globe in a auction lot and got the same thing as you are getting. Could it be something happened to your profile or you have selected a profile for a auction site AW2K doesn't support?
Sorry to be so rambling in my answer, but maybe you can see what I mean. Hope this helps. Let us know what you find out.

Garry,
I greatly appreciate your input. It got me on the track of the actual problem, which was related to yours, but not the same.
I had created a completely valid new Ebay profile for a different Ebay id than the normal one.
However, I had not finished adding in the 'default profile settings' the 'duration' nor the 'shipping charges'.
Once I finished doing those, the problem went away!
Still, a very bizar design flaw it is. I would call it a definite BUG!

Peter,
I would say the issue is not related to incompleted fields on an Auction profile. I have three Auction profiles which do not contain completed fields. duration, listing template, etc are not completed. But the blue listing view globe works just fine on all three profiles.

Peter:
Glad it worked out for you. It is frustrating isn't it? I'm not sure if it is a Bug (at least in my case) 'cause I had a non supported auction venue in the Auction Profile box so it didn't know where to go.
At least you're up and working again.
