Judy/Blue Bayfeeder Googlebase new

Judy - I have seen your name on some of the forums where you have said that bayfeeder was working for you to upload listings to google base. I was also using it successfully but it stopped working about a week or so ago. Is your datafeed still working and if it is, can I pick your brain to get the correct settings. thank you, sharon

Sharon,

MIne stopped as well. I had to register a new bayfeeder account...

And go back into my Google base account and re-do the settings again and Save Changes.

Have you checked your Google base Data feeds dashboard to be sure the feed has tried to fetch? And did it Fail??

If it Failed, please go to the "Details" link on the Data feeds page and tell me give the entire text of the Details page....

Hi Judy - I also registed a new bayfeeder account and registered a new data feed. It did a fetch and fail - I tried manual and auto and both failed. The error page doesn't say much - just that the upload failed and 0 items were processed and 0 inserted. When you registered the new data feed - what did you put in as the data feed filename? I appreciate your help - Sharon

Sharon,

Delete the Bayfeeder feed from your account. I edited this post as there is a major issue with Bayfeeder. Nero just posted about it.

YOu will need to get the Bayfeeder feed deleted,
The SEttings changed in the "Settings" tab--change the website URL (Optional) field back to your ebay Store URL
Save changes

Go to the Data feeds dashboard and register a new file
Use FirstTry.xml

Go to your eBay Account.
Click on Manage my STore
Then Listing Feeds
Choose the second esssl file not the first. The second file is your Google specific file
Click it open and allow the xml file to open in your browser
On the Browser menu choose File >Save As
Save the page anywhere on your hard drive you can find it later and name that makes sense to you.
File Type is xml

Then go back to your google account and manually upload the file.

It will probably fail anyway. BUT you need a clean file uploaded to that account before contacting Google base about the problem. As the problem is the new bayfeeder file...

GRRRRR,, why in the world did they start using the eBay affiliate re-direct. They know that is not allowed...!

I will get the web form URL for you and how to complete the form.

Sharon

Before you go any further with BAyfeeder, checkout this link on Google's help forum

My bayfeeder failed as well and my account has been disabled. I have been back and forth with Google base review team for an entire week. It is still not resolved. I literally opened a new account. And I am not using Bayfeeder for the new account. I downloaded my eBay Essssl file and manually uploaded it myself.

I was unaware there is a bayfeeder issue until this morning.

Re: Judy/Blue Bayfeeder Googlebase new [re: racicot]

Sharon,

Okay here is the link to the contact web form.

http://base.google.com/support/bin/request.py?contact_type=error&ctx=direct

Use this form after you have deleted the bayfeeder feed and manually uploaded a fresh new file to your Base account. Otherwise, Google will be reviewing the non-compliant Bayfeeder file instead of the compliant eBay essssl file...

The only consolation is every single bayfeeder user is experiencing the same issue.

To complete the web form
Only your first name is necessary.
The display name is the Display name in settings
The file URL is the eBay store essss file from Manage Store > Listing feeds
email addy is the email addy on the Google base account.
Reason is Other

Then in the text box just tell Google base your items are compliand and respectfully request they allow your items to be uploaded to google base.

Sometimes they email back in just a few hours. And sometimes it is a full day. I suspect they are totally slammed with requests as hundreds of eBAy sellers use bayfeeder.

This new bayfeeder setup is not cool!

Re: Judy/Blue Bayfeeder Googlebase new [re: bluepennylady]

I'm glad I checked in to see if you had replied to my post. I have deleted the bayfeeder account and will do as you suggested with uploading the ebay store file. The thing I hate about this method (and liked about bayfeeder) is that it only uploads the store items, not fixed price. But some items are better than none I guess. THANK YOU for the heads up on this, I appreciate it. Sharon

The store upload failed so I've filled out the form asking them to allow the items. We'll see what happens. You know - bayfeeder has our passwords. Wonder if we should worry :( Sharon

Sharon,

I don't know. I am going to delete my account though. Since they are using Affiliate marketing the service is absolutely useless.

Re: Judy/Blue Bayfeeder Googlebase new [re: racicot]

Sharon,

It took about 24 hours after I uploaded a fresh clean essssl file from eBay for Google to respond and re-authorize my account. I just received the re-authorization early this morning.

I told them I had seen the post on the Google forums by Nero. That I had been using bayfeeder. Had removed the bayfeeder API, changed the website URL to point to my own website and uploaded a fresh clean file for their review.

I got a personal message at the top of the canned response. It was what they needed

I also deleted my bayfeeder links out of my account last night
Also go to My eBay > Site Preferences > Third Party authorizations.

Revoke BayOSoft, INc. That is bayfeeder. Without the token they cannot access the essssl file on your behalf.
