Is anyone having trouble with google? I keep getting an error message.....missing required attribute: condition...how do I fix this? Almost all of my items have "new" in the title.....or is this something I have to do on Google's website?
Thanks!

Re: google new [re: mouse]

I think I may have figured it out....if I put a different color in "other" instead of a color that's on the list in "Item Specifics", I get a warning when I list that item....even though it still will list. Why is "other" even one of the choices then??

Mickey

Google Base has changed the Condition attribute to "Required"

The only three allowed attribute values are "New, Used or Refurbished"

eBay's XML file, unless they fixed it this past week, is not compliant with the new Google base policy change... The XML file can be edited in an XML editor which is what I have been doing.

I use XML notepad 2007 to edit the condition attribute for eBay...
eBay does not use the correct formatting for "Condition".. so you have to change the formatting and the condition value if it is not one of the three allowed.

I can show you how to edit the condition in an XML editor if you need help.

Mickey

I am feeling much better today. I do not feel like I am rocking back and forth like I did on the ship

Email me, will you. I have a better solution than the XML editor for the eBay listings.

HI

Although, eBay has corrected the xml file, it still performs at a very low rate. There is a man named Keith who has developed a program for uploading your store items to Google Base, And not only does it pick up STore listings BUT Fixed Price as well.

It is easy and it works. The program is free. Keith accepts donations

I and several others have tested it. So far the uploads are quick, smooth and error free. The only warning appearing is the single "Feed level > suggested weight attribute" which almost everyone is receiving

Happy Google Base...
