Computer is running fine; AW seems to be working fine; backed up and rebuilt; running the latest version..........

But when I try to leave Feedback (Invoice: Leave Feedback; Feedback Method: Automatic), the button just doesn't do anything. The window flickers, but nothing happens. This applies to two different buyers I'm trying to leave FB for tonight.

I submitted some listings yesterday, so that's working ok.

I also tried the multiple-invoice method by selecting only these two transactions, but I got 2 errors. The Log said:

Anyone else unable to leave Feedback today?

Today, I CAN leave Feedback. Hmm.

Perhaps this problem was related to a totally different problem my email program (Microsoft Outlook) was having the last few days. Messages from advertisers' websites were showing the broken-image icon. Turned out my copy of Internet Explorer, which is a browser I almost never use, had gotten set for "Work Offline," and evidently Outlook relies on IE to display images in email. So I simply unchecked that setting, and the images now show just fine.

Does AW rely on IE to submit Feedback to ebay??

Being offline could cause a problem although Aw2K isn't internet explorer based it is windows based so that might cause a problem.

then again the gremlins may have moved in for a day and decided to move on

Hi Judy,

I was never actually offline. It was just some glitch with an Internet Explorer setting that made my computer think I was offline. This impacted Outlook's ability to show me internet-based images in email messages. After I re-set that setting to NOT work offline, I was able to leave Feedback.

Maybe it was just a coincidence, but it seems possible that my inability to leave Feedback was related to this.

I should check that "work offline" box again in MSIE (not that I ever checked it in the first place.....gremlins!) and see if it blocks AW from leaving Feedback. It might not be related to whether AW is based on Internet Explorer; maybe it's an ebay thing.

Gremlins are sometimes really super irritating! And so can eBay. Their picture service upload is so stinking slow I about want to throw things at the computer

I can switch to FTP upload and the images just fly in the upload but not when uploading to eBay pic service!
