Thankful for AW's Feedback Mechanism

Getting into eBay's Feedback area manually, whether to leave it or look, remains excruciatingly slow.

The AW Leave Feedback, always nifty, is now heaven-sent. Feedback is put into the system bam-bam-bam.

Ned,

Isn't that the truth!! I hate to have to access the eBay feedback page. Overstock's is just as bad if not worse. Why you can try to access it, go get coffee and come back and the silly thing is still trying to load. And I am on Fiber optic here.

I love the AW2K feedback

Re: Thankful for AW's Feedback Mechanism new [re: Ned]

Yes, thank you very much.

But I have to admit I quit using it. I have been using a tool that reciprocates positive feedback.

Now I don't do ANYTHING with feedback. When someone leaves me positive, it automatically leaves them positive. If they leave neutral or neg, it just emails and notifies me. It's called auction Pixie. I purchased the first batch of reciprocated feedback, but they have a feature that if you allow them to paste a link in the bottom of your auctions, you get free reciprocated feedback points. I obviouosly list more items that I sell, so I have never had to pay again.

Would be a WONDERFUL feature for AW2K to retrieve the feedback received, and then allow you to leave pos for pos already received. I use to do this manually. Very time consuming.

It is unfortunate that you can't just throw all your positives out there for payments. I don't consider the transaction done until the buyer says so. If they want a return or something, then the transaction isn't done, and how they treat my company in the return process is part of the transaction. So no feedback till they have left feedback.

Re: Thankful for AW's Feedback Mechanism new [re: sharptrade]

Ron,

Here, here! I agree completely! I do not submit feedback until the buyer has their product either. You are most correct. The transaction is not complete until the buyer has their goody and says it is...

You know, I am not sure I would want my feedback to be submitted automatically without me looking at it. Feedback is sort of like working the customer service counter or sales floor. If the boss never gets out on the sales floor or works behind the counter, then they will never know what the customers are saying or want.

Feedback provides really important hints about how a buyer views my products, service, shipping, etc. Just the other day a buyer posted positive remark but said the item was smaller than expected. So naturally I checked the description to be sure my staff had included the measurements. They had but the measurements were way at the bottom of the description.
Which means the buyer did not read all the way down. Buyer's fault for not reading the entire description..

However, it did tell me we should be using a ruler for images of plush animals when listing them just like we do other product. A picture can be worth a thousand words. And I to remind the staff to use the ruler again.

Just some food for thought.

Hi there

Just wondering how you find out that someone has left feedback for you? Do you have to check on ebay and then go through your invoices and manually mark to leave feedback? Not sure how it works.

Also if i mark down items in ebay does the sale price automatically update into Aw2000 when you update your auction lots? Just looking into doing sales and mark downs etc.

thanks for your advice :-)

Kind regards
Mayapur

Another thing is that i like to put feature listing on some of my .99c start items but when i go to do it on the listing screen it says the cost is double what it really is so i am hesitant to do it at this point and rather go into the auction on ebay and add the $9.95 feature and usually do a combo too which gives me a subtitle and enlarged pic for .65. Can these be done somewhere in AW2000?

Thanks.

Re: Thankful for AW's Feedback Mechanism new [re: mayapur]

Hi,

Everyone does feedback differently. Some leave feedback as soon as the buyer pays or when item is shipped. You can leave the feedback for just one Invoice while you are on the Invoice.

To do that, just click on "Invoice | leave Feedback" The feedback dialog box opens up and you can click OK. When the leave feedback box opens up, click Leave feedback. And is it done.

Me--well I leave feedback once a week. Because I am busy during the week, Our network is busy and it is just easier with the way we handle everything. But I keep track of who has left feedback. The "leave feedback" selection box now has a "Select All" or "Select None" option. I will "Select none" and check the ones I want to leave feedback for. Hit OK and it is done in nothing flat.

You do not have to manually change the INvoice status. Aw2K will change the status from "Feedback not left" to "Closed" for you if you use AW2K to submit feedback.

AW2K retrieves the price the item sold for. If you will look at the Auction lot window, next to the "Start Price" field,, there is a "sale price" field. The Start price does not change but the "Sale price does as wel as the Current High bid. And the Sale price field is what is copied to the Invoices so the price is correctly recorded there as well.

Re: Thankful for AW's Feedback Mechanism new [re: mayapur]

Hi,

Where is is saying it cost double to place an auction on feature??

The enlarged picture is an eBay picture manager thing. AW2000 does not support eBay Picture hosting. So editing the auction to add the enlarged picture must be done on eBay. eBAy has sales all the time for that kind of thing. It may or may not be at that cost in another week or so. It could change. But you can use the sub-title line anytime you want, you just will not be able to use the eBay enlarged picture and sub-title combo because that is an eBay picture manager deal. I hope that makes sense.

But can you tell me exactly where you saw the double feature cost at??

Ok. thanks for that. But is it true you need to check ebay if feedback is left or does AW2000 pick it up when it comes in?

Thanks.

Re: Thankful for AW's Feedback Mechanism new [re: bluepennylady]

on ebay 'Featured Plus! ($9.95)' but on the listing screen just before a lot goes up on ebay this option costs $19.95. It adds $19.95 to the listing fee box when you tick it.

I hope that makes sense.
Thanks

Re: Thankful for AW's Feedback Mechanism new [re: mayapur]

HI,

Aw2K does not pick up who has left feedback for you. If you want to know who has left feedback for you, you must check your feedback.

I check my feedback ratings everyday... And even if AW2K did pick up who had left feedback, I would still check my feedback everyday.

it is my personal opinion a seller should check the feedback remarks left by their buyers every day...

Feedback remarks are about the only measuring stick a seller has to determine if the seller is doing well or poorly in an area. If the seller sees a consistent remark on feedback, then the seller can adjust procedures or practices to better address that issue. Or if the remark(s) are positive about an area, then the seller can surmise they are doing well in that area.

Feedback remarks are sort of like the customer service remark cards you leave at restaurants, motels, etc. If the management does not take the time to read them, they are of no use.

Just my opinion.

Ron,

Thanks for the link. I will be using thre scrolling gallery. How cool is that.
Anyway, The auto feedback is a fantasticly needed tool, but I have a question. Does it report to you the positives so that you can close the auction?

My problem that I would like to solve is to be able to highlight all "Feedback Not Left" auctions, and send out an email to them (Please leave...is there a problem) in bulk. This would compliment the auto feedback perfectly. Any ideas? Anyone?

Re: Thankful for AW's Feedback Mechanism new [re: dennisk]

HI,

Just a suggestion...If you are referring to Auctiva' scrolling gallery, you should consider moving the gallery below the listing as opposed to the top. If you have an eBay store and feed to Google base, I have seen the scrolling gallery cause issues more than once in the xml file.

As far as feedback, You can send out feedback left and thanks emails in bulk to all Invoices.

Feedback can be left in bulk. The bulk mechanism allows you to determine whether or not to send out an email when submitting feedback. The Invoice status is automatically changed to closed.

The Feedback option is located on the menu in Tasks > Leave feedback.
