Help with Image overwriting!

Okay - major irritation. Lost many auction lots off my system with the newest eBay update (shipping etc) - Now when I upload new auctions - the new pics are interfering with my already POSTED ebay auction pics... is there any way we can tell auctionwizard to post my NEW pics into a different directory on my server - or how to tell it to start with a DIFFERENT picture numbering system?? This is frustrating! Every time I post an auction, it messes up an existing auction pic... Help??

Hi

First run a backup of your current data.
Go to Start > All Programs > Auction Wizard 2000.> Backup

Run the backup somewhere you can find it later if needed.

If you want a different directory in your website, use Ws_FTP or whatever you use to connect to your web space and create a new directory .. You can name it whatever you want that makes sense to you.

In AW2K, click File on the menu
Then FTP
Create a new FTP account
Use the new directory for this FTP account.

When you list new Auction lots select the new FTP account for uploading the images. THe image numbers will no longer overwrite. Or you can change the default FTP account to the newly created one so you don't have to worry about remembering.

But we need to determine why all of the sudden the LotImage#'s are overwriting. AW2K does not re-use image numbers. They are sequentially created not re-used. So something has your database messed up. Or the web space is messed up.

So after you get the directory created which will solve the immediate issue of images overwriting, then email me directly and we'll get it figured out.
