ftp error

I am having a problem with my ftp site. when i test the FTP connection i get an error message stating that : The HTTP Address field does not point to the same location as the FTP settings. Please check the remote directory and http address fields." When i change the remote directory and http address fields to poing the aw2k directory that was created through this process, i get the same message. When i try to list my queued auction lots, the program times out trying to download the DATESTAMP.HTML file. The dialog box toggles from saying "downloading datestamp.html" to "connected" but eventually times out and tells me that the file could not be downloaded please check my connections. I've disabled my virus program (McAfee) and get the same errors. Any ideas? Thanks

HI,

Your settings in the FTP account are not correct. Who is your FTP account with? I might be able to provide some help with the settings if I know your provider.

HI,

When you say you are having the same problem do you mean you have the same socket error? Or you just can't get the FTP settings right?

My issue was actually a problem with my isp which was comcast. They are having issues with personal websites in my area. I ended up using a different ftp provider to upload pictures to.

Hi,

I am really glad you got that fixed. There have been a ton of comcast account holders affected by all the changes comcast made. I am sorry you are one of the people affected . That is the pits!
