Re: image database record new [re: mouse]

MIckey,

Well, girl, we'll have to take a look at some of your images then won't we and see if we can keep you going until the first of the year.

Have you resized enough images you can add images to Inventory items???

Re: image database record new [re: bluepennylady]

Hi!
I plan on doing the archiving thing this week or next.......but first, I'd like to save alot of my images to the back up drive I have on my computer...... I just want an easy way to get to a picture if I need it! I might have 7 pics for one auction, but only 3 are ones I want to save (I can sure tell I've improved on taking pictures in the last year)! Can I pick & choose the ones I want to put on my back up drive? I'm not sure how to do that.......would I go into the database & images?
Thanks!

Mickey

Mickey,

Images can be saved individually if you want. It is done by clicking on the image, going to "Image | Save to file". You can save the image anywhere you want on your hard drive and then make a copy to a CD or DVD...

But images cannot be selected individually from the image folder within the database. You can make a copy of the three image tables if you want. But the copy would only be useful if you had to restore an old image table... if that makes sense.

You can backup all the images from your web space at pair.com... They recently added a backup feature. I don't know if your account has the backup or not. YOu might check. The images can be backed up and viewed individually.

Does that make sense? And does that help at all?

Thanks Judy....yes, that makes sense......what do you do if you come across something you know you've listed before but don't have the image....is it just easier to take another picture?

Mickey,

If the original record has been archived away, we simply take a new image.
