Creating hyperlink to "ask seller a question"

Hi there, Instead of putting a link to my e-mail address, can I put a hyperlink into a template pointing to the "ask the seller a question" link on eBay.

I imagine it would work like the hyperlink that points to the sellers other auctions(which AW already has set up for you). Where do you set up these user defined fields and how would I do one to point to ask seller a question? Thanks :)

Add this to one of the HTML sections of your listing template:

<a href="http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewSellersOtherItems&userid=ebayuserid">Click to see my other auctions!</a>

Change the "ebayuserid" to your actual user id. The "click to see my other auctions" part can be whatever you want, so long as you close the hyperlink with the </a>

That should do it... ;-)

Thanks for the reply tradeguy. It worked for view sellers other items, but I would like to point to "ask seller a question". Do you know the string that would work for that? Thanks.

LOL...sorry about that...wasn't thinking ;-)

That's a little trickier because the actual "item question" link requires the auction ID, which you don't get until after you start the auction.

But here is the generic "ask seller question" link:

<a href="http://http://contact.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ReturnUserEmail&requested=youruserid&frm=279>Click to Ask Seller Question</a>

you can add
<A HREF="mailto:YOUR EMAIL">WHAT U WANT TO SHOW UP</A>
into your listing template.
When they click on it. It will send you an email directly and not through ebay.

Hi Traderguy,
I was looking for a way to add my link for my store and ran across this email.
I have copy and pasted it to my text page. I have put <#USERID> in the area that you said I need to add it and am having no luck. I have also gone to my store and copy and pasted the link to that as well and no go. Can you help tell me what I am doing wrong, if anything?
Thanks,
Stephanie
