Yesterday, before listing some eBay auctions, I used WS_FTP to go into the aw2k folder and deleted everything that was in there. I did this because I knew there were a bunch of persistent leftovers from a previous set-up, and I thought the best thing would be to start from scratch with an empty folder. So far so good.

When I listed the new auctions, everything went smoothly, as usual, except that the background image for one of the templates did not load and does not show on the eBay ads, and the logo image that I include in all my templates also does not show on the eBay ads.

These images show up when I preview the template locally. The template has not been changed at my end.

What did I do wrong, and how can I fix it for the next group of auctions? Thanks

No worries. I did that once before too!

YOu will need to use WS-FTP to load the missing images back into the AW2K directory. The file names must be exactly the same as the missing images on the template.

For instance when I deleted mine, the file name is img106.jpg. So I had to go to my hard drive where that image is stored and upload it again into the AW2K directory.

Since the file name is the same and it is in the same directory, the images will appear in your listings again. Does that help?

Did you delete the datestamp in the folder as well? Are there any images missing on your auctions now?

But now another somewhat unrelated question: While looking for these pics on my hard drive, within the Aw2000 folder, I found a folder named "attachments" and inside that is a single jpeg image, of a young lady, labeled "evgenija". How did that get there? I've never seen that pic before.

It's just spam, probably porn. You can delete anything in that Attachments folder unless it's something you put there or some image an associate attached to an email. All files attached to incoming email are stripped out and placed in that Attachments folder -- keeps the AW program safe from viruses and scripts.

Excellent! Isn't that just the best feeling to fix something!

The attachment folder is where any attachments someone sends you goes when you load mail in AW2K. You can delete files within the attachment folder. YOu do not delete the "Attachments" folder though. Just the contents.
