Inventory Import
|
|
|
HI, I love this system because it saves me money when I Post auctions. Both the ability to use as many photos and the ability to post as I want with out paying these fees are great.
What I need to make this practical to use is the ability to import and export data from the inventory section.
It is not practical to manually create a Inventory as it does not let you review the auction lot until after you make one. So you have to make a auction lot and then copy it somehow to the Inventory and I have not figured out how to do that.
I have seen people state that this system has the feature and or function due to be installed to allow for data import and export. When is this going to happen?
Thanks for the hard work!

If you click on the help tab at the top, then click on index, then type in create, it will show you how to create an auction lot from your inventory; I hope this helps

HI, Thanks, but it is the other direction I am trying to go. I have 1000's or auction lots and I need to change them into inventory items. The help does not detail a way to import or make a inventory item other than manually that I can see

In that case, go back to the help file, but this time click on find, and type in SAPro

I am really having trouble doing this. My "import" button is greyed out. What could be causing this?
Thank you,
Joyce

Joyce,
If you are attempting to import a CSV file as Inventory items or Auction lots,
Look along the top of the grid on the "Import" dialog box.. You will see the words "Unassigned". Right click..
You must select a Field for each column to go to. So Column one might be the Auction Title line, Then you right click, and select "Title" from the pop up menu
Second column might be "Item cost" so you right click and select "Item cost" from the pop up.
And so on until all the grid columns that contain values have been assigned where to go when you import.
After you assign the columns where to go, the "Import" button becomes active.
Does that help??

Oh WONDERFUL, that does help!
I exported a template and I notice that when I right click there is no option for some of the exported feilds. Do I need to strip down the exported template or no?
I love this software by the way. It's so easy to organize data and track profits and such.
