box lots inventory

I have not used the inventory feature on this yet but thought with the new year I would try to get more organized. Is there a way to put a boxed lot in with the items under it? Or can it only be done by dividing the total by the number of items in the box?
Wow, does that even make sense? Gail

Hello Gail,
I am not quite sure if I understand well but I think you want:
Inventory 1 = BOX1 Sub-Inventory 1-1 = BOX1 - Item 1 Sub-Inventory 1-2 = BOX1 - Item 2 etc.
To my knowledge this is not possible within the Inventory of AW2K. The best solution I think would be to use the Reference ID for identification of every single item, i.e. Inventory 1 -> Reference ID "BOX1-1" Inventory 2 -> Reference ID "BOX1-2" etc.

Thank you Howard. That's exactly what I was asking. I buy full sets of dishes and break them up. The damaged pieces I literally break up for mosaics. The inventory setup the way it is makes it difficult to track what the profit was on the whole lot.
Thanks again, Gail
