Inventory Comitted Qty

Hi All,

I have an item in my inventory and when I create an auction listing for Ebay I list it with a QTY of 10. I had 50 in the inventory so it shows QTY commited as 10. The auction ends and only 7 sold. Leaves 3 left. I did this a few times each time using a listing with a QTY of 10. Not all the items sold. Now when I go to list an auction I get a message QTY available is less than zero. Is there any way to have the unsold items in the previous auctions put bac into the inventory pool?

Thanks in advance
RIck

Re: Inventory Comitted Qty new [re: TIB06]

Rick,

How are you doing! It is good to see you. Sorry I was so slow getting back to you. I was out last night! My son played at a jazz concert. What fun!

Anyway, yes there is.

The Auction lot that had Sold items, look at the Status... As long as the Status of an Auction lot that had a qty offered is at "Sold not Shipped" the qty is still committed to the Auction lot.

When the last Invoice that was generated from the last sale on the Auction lot is shipped, the Auction lot status will change to Sold and Shipped releasing the remaining qty back to Qty in stock. That is it works that way if you use the Invoice backend functions such as sending out shipping notices.

If you don't, you may need to manually change the Status. but be careful manually changing the status. You want to make sure all Invoices are actually closed before you change the status manually. If you do'nt and then later close an Invoice manually, it may mess up the qty in stock.

Does that help?
