I just have a quick question, if I purge and archive old inventory items, will I still be able to print reports from those items?

No,, archiving removes the records and places them into the "Archive" folder.

Purging totally removes the records from the database.

Either one removes the records from the working database.

When I am going to Archive records, I always make a full DVD of my entire database. Should I need the archived data, I can easily restore it from the DVD. I label and retain all the DVD's that were created prior to an Archive. I even burn a DVD of the database at year end so the year end data is available should I ever need it.

I hope that makes sense.
