More Strange Problems

I have two problems that I don't understand, and haven't been able to find a fix for, thus:

Problem #1

“Error: Selected buyer could not be found”
I sold a couple of eBay items last night, 08-05-09, the auctions closed out as usual, I updated the auction lots, as usual, clicked "generate invoices" as usual, but then I got a box that says "Error...The selected buyer could not be found. Unable to create invoice"

Clicking "OK" does not make the box go away, and clicking the "X" in the upper right corner doesn't work, either. And no other button or action works either, so I went into the Task Manager and closed out AW2K from there.

That was last night.

This morning I started AW2K, and tried to manually create invoices for the two items. I can create the invoice OK, (the buyer's email address shows up) but I can't find a way to add one of these auction lots to the invoice. The “Add Item to Invoice” box does not show the item I want, and when I search for it by typing it the lot number, I'm told “No Matching Records Found.”

So what happened, and how do I fix it and create these two invoices?

Second weird problem:

On Monday, 08-03-09, I created invoice #1102, for some merchandise that was on my website catalog. Everything went OK, but now I see that invoice #1000, dated 01-13-09, has this lot added to it 34 times!

What IS going on here? Do I have a database issue?

Thanks

HI

Let me address these in reverse order.

Well the middle one first, The Auction lot status MUST be Never Listed or Offline. Hold, sold not shipped, or online auction lots will not show up in the Add invoice items dialog box. So be sure the Auction lot status is correct.

Second issue, Selected buyer could not be found..

Did the buyer have another Invoice whose status was Buyer not Contacted. If so, when generating invoices the newly won item will automatically pop onto that Invoice. So did you check that.

The last one with 34 Invoice items, I need to think on that one for a minute..

Judy,

Thanks for the info...when I get back here later today I'll work with it some more.

I've also sent my database backup to Thom, hopefully he can spot the problem with the "incredible multiplying auction lots."

As always, thanks for your help,

Henry

Yep he told me you had. I actually emailed him as soon as I saw your post as the "Incredibly multiplying invoice items" just sounded like it might need his touch. Not mine

And I would certainly tell him about the no buyer found error as well... Especially since you have the multiple invoice items.

Let me know how it goes.... He will get you fixed up in no time flat

OK, I wasn't aware of the need to set the lot to the proper status. I've taken care of that, and generated one of these invoices. The other I won't do now because the buyer contacted me and wants me to wait...he's going to be bidding on more stuff Monday. So I'll deal with it then.

Neither of these buyers had ever bought from me before.

I had mentioned this in my email to Thom, so he is aware.

Thanks again for all your help,

Henry

I wouldn't do anything else until AW2000 tech support gives you instructions. They will have you all fixed up in short order.
