Totals

Have been using AW2000 for quite some time now and basically have had no problems with it. Anyways, lately the ledger seems to be loosing or not adding the correct amount to give complete total.
Today, added 10 payments w/fees and was short by $15 compared to what paypal's total was. Is there anything that I need to change or do to have the correct total show?
Thanks in advance.

Hi
How long has it been since you rebuilt the database?
Do a backup of the database Scan the hard drive for errors Defrag Run the Rebuild
See if that has any effect.

Nope, that didn't work. Had the same thing happen today. So far I'm short $26.17. Each time it is a different amount.
Is there a limit on the amount of sales in the ledger that one can have that might be causing this? At present, I have 340 entries.

HI
No limit on entries.
Okay, let's backtrack here a bit.
When you say there is a discrepancy... You mean that if you add up all the incoming Paypal and ProPay payments you have recorded during the day the total does not match what is showing for the same timeframe in the ledger?

HI
Just a thought here as I opened up my ledger reports to check.
When running the ledger reports be sure that you are not adding up a Paypal payment that you might have recorded the day before.
For example, payments that arrived prior to 8 pm yesterday were recorded yesterday. Anything after that were recorded on today's work, 2-12-2010 even though the payment arrived on 2-11-2010.
So be sure the dates of the payments match up.... Is the discrepancy for today possibly the total of a couple of payments. Or just a single payment?
Does that make sense?

First let me thank you for all the info. Second, on the main ledger screen we have Date; check #; Invoice #; description; credits; debits; and balance.
The total in the balance has the discrepancy. This is where I keep loosing various amounts of money. I've checked and rechecked to make sure everything was entered correctly. However, I've not tried to run a report yet, but will do so shortly.

I think I found the problem! I had a known software program that somehow installed 2 files that have been known to cause problems. Rx2Engine & RX2Agent. After doing a search on google I found that these two items were indeed some sort of trojan.
I managed to get rid of them and it seems that AW2K is working as it should.
Once again thank you for your help.
