Shipping Method & Payment Not Importing new

First listings using AW2K. I just posted some fixed price listings on eBay. One sold. I updated auction lots. The sale info imported. The sale information did not include the shipping method the customer selected (UPS Ground). I had to enter this manually. Is this correct? Should not the shipping method import as well?

It also did not register the payment. The customer checked out through eBay and paid via PayPal. The order still shows the amount as "Balance Due" and the "Payments" Tab does not show Date / Payment Method / Amount (all blank). Amount Paid = 0. Should not the system recognize when an auction is paid? Do we have to do this manually? I can't even figure out how to manually post the payment.

Thanks,

Butch

Re: Shipping Method & Payment Not Importing [re: diydefense]

HI Butch

No worries..

Shipping methods are not automatically stored. as those can change from buyer to buyer nor do payments store.. But that is super easy to do.

Retrieve email..

open up the Paypal payment,,
There are numerous ways to find the correct invoice. We use the buyer's user id if it is available, Email address if not.

HIghlight the buyer's user id, right click and select Find user id.. Boom invoice appears.

Clickthe Green Dollar sign ($) and the payment ledger appears. REcord the payment.

Highlight the shipping method,
Right click and select Store ship via
And it is stored for you..
you can print the printed invoice from that window as well or a packing slip from the reports window.

Logging in a payment automatically generates the Payment received email and automatically changes the invoice status to Waiting to ship. So when you are ready to ship the shipping notices can be automatically generated as well.

We can process payments and packing slips faster than a printer can print it out.. Once your workflow is in place you will whip through 100 orders in nothing flat..
