Grid new

Hi,
If I relist using grid , does it automatically delete the Ebay dates and numbers and list on the same lot number. I am trying to be able to mass list when Ebay does another Free day.
Thanks,
Cryque

Hello

I am not sure I am following you so let me try to hit the highlights of the Grid View

Auction lots can be queued (or unqueued) en masse using Grid view. There are numerous functions actually available in the Grid view.. .Queueing auction lots en masse is just one of those functions

The dates and auction numbers never have be to deleted or erased manually from any Auction lot. When listing AW2000 will automatically retrieve the new Start date and the new Auction item number and store both pieces of information for you on the auction lot.. So nothing to do manually. All done automatically for you.

I hope that helps

Hi,
Just wondering......... when Wizard lists the lots again, in this circumstance, do they become "relisted" auction lots at ebay, if they are eligible, or does it create a "new" listing at ebay?
Thanks
Bill

Hello Bill

Relisted auction lots that fall within eBay's criteria are eligible for relist credit.

Re: Grid new [re: bluepennylady]

Hi Judy,

Thanks, but that much I did know (about being eligible for relist credits)......... Not sure exactly how to explain this. I have had several circumstances where I wanted "NEW" auctions at Ebay to be created, and went through the process of deleting the old dates, auction numbers etc. (I know I could have just copied the auctions, but I think there were some reasons that I didnt like doing that, besides possibly forgetting to delete the others, & then accidentally re-listing them.

Anyway, 50 Free Monthly, & Free auction days (most of what I am doing right now) can sometimes require moving auctions from one of my ID's to another. When doing so, they will fail when listing. Ebay returns a message saying that the auction number is not available, or something like that. So I go back & delete the old auction numbers/dates, and then they work. I have Standing Wave authorizations on both ID's, and have tried listing to only one account at a time, but of course the auction number is probably registered at ebay as belonging to the “wrong ID”.

I also think that the Item Specifics chosen or created, may have disappeared when moving these auctions around. (but that may not be true), I cant seem to duplicate it on purpose.

More importantly, as I build the base of my auctions, I also make a lot of changes, while the auctions are running, but often ONLY in Wizard. Improving text, etc, etc. I do this when it is NOT important enough to edit the auction at ebay. Then if they fail at Ebay, hopefully I have a better looking / priced / titled / etc, auction next time. This then requires that the auction be loaded NEW from my computer, in order to pick up the changes, NOT using the old version at Ebay, which may have ended only a few minutes ago, and needs to be relisted before the Free listing time expires. That's why I never “relist auction” directly from Ebay, I hate doing that, when I have this great database in Wizard, of exactly what I own, organized to the max, which I can quickly go through, change around etc., etc.

Incidentally, thanks for answering a post of mine last fall, but I never got back to you. Just after the post, we closed our BM shop, I broke my leg in 2 places while playing with other peoples kids, right through the new knee replacement, got a heart infection, 4 elbow surgeries, wife got sick, 4 more surgeries. Now Ebay is the only way to not become a Walmart greeter. I will eventually reply to that post, as I still need help there.

Thanks Much,
Regards, Bill

PS My help file wont load. The index is on the left side of the screen, but the right side of the screen says:

This program cannot display the webpage
Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.
Blah Blah Blah........................

Another program Zoner Photo Studio, has started doing this also.

Wizard Help isn't even a web function is it?

Re: Grid [re: twoolds]

Hi

Wow I am so sorry you have had so much trouble!

Auction wizard uses windows to display the help. you don't have to be connected to the web but it does use windows services.

I don't ever relist from eBay. 100% of my listing and relisting is done exclusively with AW2000.

I honestly do not know why the auction lots fail. That does'nt make sense. The eBay API returns a new auction id number when the listing is submitted. So an auction id number in the Auction item number field doesn't really matter.

Because there is a problem displaying the help file, it makes me think there is something up with the computer and Windows. That may not be the case but that is where I would start

Do a full hard drive scan.then defrag
Run a full backup
Rebuild the database.

once that is done try listing and see if that has any effect or not
