Auction Wizard and Propay new

I have opened an account with Propay to accept credit cards directly for my Ebay listings. I have read that it has been intergrated with Ebay and turbo lister has a box that you have to check that you accept Propay. Once listing ends, customer pays with their credit card through Ebay. Will there be an update to AW2000 adding the Propay box. I have credit cards checked but I am not sure if by just having this checked, that Ebay will offer the buyer the use of a credit card. I hope this makes sense as I am very confused :) (as usual)
Thanks,
Chris

Chris,

I am pretty excited about the Propay option myself. I have had the opportunity to meet and work with the Propay staff and management. not only are they very nice people. they are building an excellent online payment service option for eBay sellers. I am quite excited at everything they are offereing. They have worked very hard on this. And I personally believe they have a solid plan in place. Congrats to the Propay team!

Propay can only be added to AW2000 support when eBay adds it to the API. And that has not yet been done. Of course, they make it available to Turbo Lister. But Turbo Lister is not an Auction management tool of any sort. Nothing but a basic lister. Until eBay makes Propay available in the API, it cannot be supported.

Checking the credit card options indicates to the buyer that you have the ability to accept a credit card via a virtual terminal or you have a terminal in your facility. I have a credit card terminal capable of web orders in my retail store. So my buyers can submit payment directly to me rather than using Paypal.

Propay was just now added to the Sell your item form. I don't have any idea when eBay will release it to third party provider coders and programmers. But don't despair. AW2000 has always added the support for payment services when those payment services were made available. AW2000 added the "Return policy" options as quick as was possible after eBay finally released it in the API.

I don't know for sure, but my bet is as soon as Propay is added to the API. I bet AW2000 tech team gets right on it. So here we are fingers drumming on the table waitin' on eBay---again

Thanks so much for the information. Guess I jumped the gun in opening the Propay-Ebay account. I already have a regular Propay account so have been taking credit cards for a while. I have seen an increase just in the last month of of Ebay buyers wanting to use their credit card versus Paypal so am really excited to get the intergration up and running.
Thanks again,
Chris

Chris,

OH I don't think you jumped the gun opening an account. I am seeing the same trend, buyers wanting to use a credit card over Paypal. YOu will be all ready to go....

I'd like to open a ProPay account......I'm not sure I understand it all though! Should I open an account now, but I have to wait until it's added to AW2000 before anyone can use a credit card to buy my items??
Thanks for any help!

Mickey,

It won't hurt to open an account now, if you like. That is okay. AW2000 has always been right on top of adding payment method support when it was made available to third party. eBay just recently added ProPay to the acceptable payment methods in the "Sell Your Item" form.

Since it is not yet added to AW2K support, that option will not even appear in your listings even though you have a ProPay account. Just like adding paypal, it will appear on the Lister window where you have to checkmark you accept whatever forms of payment. I hope that makes sense.
