2nd store category new

Hi,
I have noticed some of my 2nd store category selections are not showing up while others are.

I select the second store category in aw2k and the item lists fine but does not show up in the category after listing. When I edit the active listing the 2nd store category is blank. I can select the category I wish and finish the editing process and then the item appears in the chosen category.

Has anyone else had similar experiences?

Thanks,
Terri

Import the Store categories again. See if that resolves the issue.

if not, contact tech support at

info@auctionwizard2000.com

Let us know if importing store categories again works or not...

Re: 2nd store category new [re: bluepennylady]

Hi Judy,
Just giving you an update on the 2nd store categories.
Importing again did not work so I contacted tech support.

Turns out that ebay has made changes to the numbering system they use for store categories and aw2k has trouble storing or identifying the numbers.

Thom did not have a timetable for a fix.

I was able to rename an existing Category and that worked, it was created a long time ago and was one that I no longer used, I just had never taken the time to delete.
So for now it is ok, I will hold on to all of my old Categories and rename as needed.

Now I have only had problems with the 2nd store categories.
I have not tried as 1st or only store categories because I have not needed them. It is very possible that it is all new store categories that are affected and I would suggest that anyone that uses store categories on any leval check that any new categories created in the last couple of months are actually showing up on ebay. Untill this is resolved, hold on to any unused ones so you can rename when you need to.

Thanks,
Terri

Terri

You know after you posted I did check "some" of my store categories.. They were fine.

But I noticed the early part of this past week that some items were not where they should be..I thought my staff had missed store categories...

I better check more closely in the morning

Thank you for posting to let everyone know. That is very thoughtful of you.

Re: 2nd store category new [re: bluepennylady]

I went back and checked my last 20 listings as well, which all have a 2nd store category, and everything was fine. I even had a few in a brand new category I just imported a few days ago, and they were in the right categories.

So at least we know it's not a consistent problem for everyone.

Thanks for the heads-up!
