AW2k and eBay stores new

I am considering using the eBay stores and have read some of the posts on how AW2k works with the application. The post are about a year old and I know eBay has made changes since then. Has anything changed with how AW2k links pictures with eBay stores? Are there special AW2k templates to use with store listings? I think I will give the store a try for the 15 buck for a month. I have been using AW2k for years and like the way it works. Not sure if I want to change the way I list items.

As far as I'm aware, AW2K still works just fine with eBay Stores. AW2K comes with many pre-configured templates that can be used "as is" or edited to your liking, and these templates work with eBay auction, Buy-it-Now, or Stores listings. If you've been using AW2K for years, all you'll need to do is create a new AW2K Profile specifically for your Store ID and other settings. And if you also set up Store categories, you can import them into AW.

Thanks for the reply. I started experimenting with some listings. New store profile works OK. Not sure how to use the catagories, although I was able to create them in eBay and import them into AW2k.

A new question, If I enter a starting price does AW2k and eBay assume it is an auction format and only allow up to 10 days for the item? I tried posting a listing with a start prece of 9.99 and BIN of 29.99 and duration of 30 days. When I submit listing, eBay return error od 30 days not valid for this. Changed to 7 days and no errors.

Thanks for all the help with the newbe at the eBay stores thing.

Again the proviso: I'm winging it here.

I think you need to create Profiles for various listing scenarios. Profile 1 for auction-style listings (1, 3, 5, 7, or 10 days); Profile 2 for non-Store BINs; Profile 3 for 30-day or GTC Store items; and so on. If you are in a Store Profile, and you inadvertently enter a starting price as if it's an auction-style listing, I think AW asks you if you want that to be the Buy Price, and if you click Yes, the program moves that figure to the proper box.

The only thing I can come up with is that you don't have your Profile properly configured for your Store, and eBay is seeing the listing as an auction-style and is rejecting it because there are no 30-day auction-style formats available.

HI

AW2K works great with the Fixed price format. No worries. The default duration can be manually changed on any Auction record.

You must create an eBay store profile . Select the store subscription type when creating the Auction profile.

STores are fixed price only. So only the Buy Price field and qty field will work. The Start price and reserve will not work.

Complete the rest of the Auction profile fields, default shipping profile templates etc.

When creating an Auction lot just select the profile in the drop down box..

Easy as pie..
