two stores new

does anyone here have two or more stores on ebay and using AW2K? Just wondering how you are handling the stores categories as AW2K will only allow you to import categories for one store. thanks, sharon

Sharon,

Did some checking for you concerning the two eBay Stores...

You can setup both stores on eBay, and of course both profiles in AW2000. Import the Store categories for the first store, Prepare and list those auctions.

Then import the store categories for the second store, prepare and list those auction lots.

Remember if you need to change a whole long list of store categories on numerous records, you can do so in the "Grid View" Select the records, right click and then Change Store Category to" and "Change 2nd store category to"

Does that help??

Judy - when you import the second store categories, isn't it going to change all the ones from the first store to the second store categories? It seems like I am always duplicating, relisting items so I didn't think the method you mentioned would work for me. Right now I only import categories for one store and then go into my ebay and do the categories there for the second store. It is cumbersome, but the only way I could make it work. Thought maybe someone may have an easier way. Sharon

Sharon,

The import will not "change" the first store categories.... After the Auction lots are listed to the Store, the categories will be intact on eBay

What will happen though, is the import in essence, "erases" the first import. When you are ready to list for the first store again, you need to import and select Store Categories for the Auction lots. Which is why I mentioned using the Grid View | Select records, right click and choose "Change Store category to........

That way you can change multiple records all at once.

Does that make more sense??

I'd just run a seperate copy of AW2K (just put a copy into a different directory).

Not a real issue if the inventory is different for each store.

HI,

That is an option.

How do you address buyer who purchase items from both stores and want combined shipping? Or do you use a different user ID? Or do you not combine shipping from auctions won in different stores?
