Do you think it makes much of a difference to have the navigation at the header only and not at the side. The problem is that when the navigation bar is at the side our nice HTML page is cut off so we just put the 5 categories at the top. Would the side navigation attract more buyers to the store or is the few catergories in the header sufficient? Any ideas?
The only time it might come into play is if you add a bunch of categories to your Store. Then it would look crowded along the top header. Or I should say, it could look crowded if not managed correctly. Nicely placed and arranged top level categories will look good along the top. Lots of businesses use horizontal navigation.
Just be sure you use a Store theme that is searchable. There are only two of them. I don't remember the exact title of the themes. I"ll have to go look. But I do know only two are searchable. Meaning the text entered into the theme can be search words for not only eBay but the entire internet.
Needn't go searching i have a section of your post right here:
Sure, Of all the Store Theme options, only two have headers that are searchable. Meaning the words used in the Header can pull up in eBay and Internet searches. The only searchable Store Themes are the "Classical Top and Classic Left"
LOL - I'm a great fan of yours. Your a terrific help.
