Curse of the Scroll Wheel

Now I know why a couple of recent auctions/Store items had shipping showing as way too low! And now I know why shipping the small table that sold this morning is going to cost about double what the listing told the buyer to pay.

The table package will weigh 12 pounds (Custom Weight), but the Estimated Weight under "Specify calculated shipping costs" showed one pound! I checked all my other online listings in my heavy/bulky-items Profiles and found six more that said one pound!

The culprit is the scroll wheel on my mouse. When you make a weight selection, until you click into another field, if you happen to move the scroll wheel, that selection will go up or down. And clicking the "save" checkmark doesn't set your selection, nor does clicking outside the fields in the gray area. The only way to set your selection is to click into another field (this is odd, I think, because, for example, at Click-n-Ship, when you drop down the box for selecting the state, you need only click somewhere on the page to set your selection).

So now I need to dig all the big stuff out and re-weigh everything -- ugh!

I'd be interested to know if anyone else has had this problem.

Sue

I have done the exact same thing before! And one time I accidentally ended up with Expediated mail at a flat rate cost. That was a bite...
