Description Centering..

Okay, I'm setting up a website with AW2K. I have most things figured out except how to get the description part centered. Is there a way to edit the templates html? Right now everything is lined up on the left, I want to center it. Any ideas?

Hi,

Well it is good to hear from you!! It has been a while! I hope you are doing well.

Which website thumbnail template are you using? You can convert the template to pure HTML and have better control over the elements of the page.

Hi:

Good luck with your new website. As Judy said - Convert the templates into HTML. Then you can do anything to them that you would like. Just make sure you follow the notice not to change anything above or below certain areas.

To make it easier to do what you want it is first do the convert to HTML. Then once the conversion is done save it under a new name. Then copy the entire template HTML code. Paste it into NotePad. Then open up a WYSIWYG editor such as FrontPage or Dreamweaver or any web page editor/desiger you have. There are lots of free ones on the web that you can download. Copy the Notepad text and then paste that into the webpage editor. It will make it a lot easier to move all of the parts and pieces around and change colors etc. Once you are done simply copy the entire HTML code from the page editor. Re-Open the AW2K HTML template that you created earlier and Paste the new code replacing the old code. Save the new page under the name that already exists overwriting your first conversion and you're ready to go. Hope this helps a little bit. Good luck with your new site. Let us know when it's ready so we can take a peek.

well I figured it out and a bit more. Now that I can use html it will give me alot more freedom with the templates. I don't know why the website address didn't change on here, but you can see the website at www.GWSalvage.com. Any comments are welcome. The site is still being build but you can see how it looks so far.

Hi:
Checking under "Inventory" the DataBase uses QuantityAvailable as the variable name for Qty Available. Hope this helps

what I'm looking for is the #? code for quanity available? I want to pull that information into my website but need the code to do it. I have it for #title, #description and #buyprice, now I want to add the code for quanity available. Hope this makes sense.

HI,

I am not sure the qty available variable can be used. I'll check with Thom today on that.. And let you know.

Re: Description Centering.. new [re: bluepennylady]

I've used the User Defined variables in my website forms and they work. Regardless of what you rename it you still have to refer to it as <#user1> etc. That may help.

Garry,

How do you handle qty's as the item(s) sell? Are you manually adjusting the qty available in the User field.??

I have actually considered doing the same thing.. But if I have to manually adjust the qty it is just as easy to add that value in the description and then edit it when the item or items sell and upload the AW2K websites again.. Or am I missing something?
