Overstock MIM policy

Hi, all,

In case you all did not see the boards at Overstock or receive the policy notification email from Overstock, there has been a major Make It Mine (MIM) policy change.

Sellers offering MIM auctions are now required to double the MIM price over the start price. So if the Start price is $10.00, The Buy Price must be $20.00. Byron posted the policy on the Overstock board in the "Site policies" thread. There is also a letter just posted by Stormy in the "Updates, New Releases and Features" thread.

The email notification sent by Overstock to sellers contains an email link to the sellershotline. If you have comments regarding the policy change, that is the place to send your comments.

Re: Overstock MIM policy new [re: bluepennylady]

HI, all,

And don't forget if you need to increase the Buy Price on multiple Auction lot records, you can do so by going to the Grid view. You can select contiguous rows by holding down Shift and selecting records. Or non-contiguous by holding down Ctrl and then selecting individual records randomly.

After the records that you want to change the Buy Price for are highlighted in blue, right click. Select Change Buy Price from the drop down menu. There are several different choices for changing the Buy Price available,

Sure makes changing the MIM price to comply with Overstock's new policy much easier

Re: Overstock MIM policy new [re: bluepennylady]

HI, All,

Patrick has posted a new MIM policy change effective today 12-7-06

The MIM price must be 1-1/2 times the start price. If it isn't your auction listing will fail.

Just go to the Grid view, select records, right click and increase by percenage. 50%. That'll work!
