I had the same message and aw2k asked me to restart the pc which i did.
Upon opening the aw2k database I discovered that the damager caused by this 'category change' is huge.
All items specifics of all old records (about 38,000) have been changed and the changes are not correct.
Our listings in the 280 category opf magazine back issues got items specifics that do not pertain to that category. Instead they pertain to books in general or maybe a specialized type of books.
So all my item specifics are lost. That is big.
I may be able to restore from yesterday, but without a correct application and database structure, that will be futile as I cannot restore the old database structure.
Already emailed Thom and am waiting for answer.
This type of updates should not be advertised as merely 'category' updates. Theyu are major database restructuring updates which require extreme care and preparation to avoid great damage..
A software like Endicia's Dazzle automatically backs up all files and databases when doing this kind of update. I wonder why thsi cannot be doen with aw2k as well.
