Oh well, maybe the error will not appear again?
I boot from the floppy drive when I use the memory86 test. The CD drive works fine as well. That is good the memory checked out okay. Usually if there is a problem, it will show up in the first six passes.
I presume you have rebooted the router and switch. And the problem is on a workstation or client computer. Not the server itself.
What virus protection are you using on the machine having the trouble? I know one of my students was experiencing not the exact but similiar difficulty. Ended up the virus protection was causing a problem. We uninstalled the virus protection and the problem cleared up.
I realize you know all these things but sometimes when we are staring at a problem, the obivious slips by.
