Re: rebuilding [re: maisey]

Maisey,

Yes you have to rebuild your database. All database programs have to be rebuilt periodically. And the time frame between rebuilds depends on how much data manipulation is done.

QuickBooks has a rebuild utility. Quicken, Personal mailing list, my email management software must be rebuilt. It just goes with the maintenance of a database software.

Now to hide your auctions--Sure can--no problem.

Go to the Auction lots tab. Click on "Show/Hide" records. That is the two yellow hands covering the piece of paper on the toolbar. When you click Show/hide records all the filter options are displayed. Select the profile you want and uncheck everything but the Online auctions. We use "Show/Hide" records everyday I bet a hundred times a day in order to more quickly locate records.

just remember to change the setting back to show all records before you shut down AW2000. Otherwise, you are likely to forget you changed it and then you will go looking for an Auction lot only to get a "No record found" message and go into a panic.

Ask me how I know
