Is this the way Angelfire works?

I had a lot of trouble figuring how to do the FTP thing. I think its time tto ask if I'm doing it right.

When I list, my first step is to upload image from my PC to Angelfire.

Next, I complete all the listing info of AW2K.

Now I list the auction.

Then when I go to Angelfire (using 'FTP Commander') I see that
there is a folder named 'Images' (that is empty), a folder that is named 'aw2K' (that contains 'datestamp.html' and files with manes like 'LotImg32.jpg') and files with names like cobaltink.jpg.

Now, I understand what the 'aw2k' folder is all about but that is about all I understand.

When I upload an image to Angelfire it shows up with its original name such as 'cobaltink.jpg'. Now, apparently, aw2K goes and grabs that file and puts in into the aw2k folder and renames it to coincide with the proper auction.

My questions are these...
Is the image then stored at eBay also or is Angelfire accessed every time a person views my auction?

Does this sound overly complicated...I mean, do all the FTP sites work about the same as Angelfire?

What is the empty 'Images' folder for?

Is there anything else I need to know or understand?
