Re: HTML Not Rendering As Expected In Description [re: bluepennylady]

More to it than that.

1st MS Front Page (and most other editors) insert line feeds and spaces between HTML tags to make it a little easier to read the HTML (visually). MS Front page as most other HTML editors I have used ignor these when rendering.

I have found that AW2K will not render the HTML properly unless I strip out all these line feeds and spaces.

Oddly, the Templates do not seem to have this problem. Only the description within the template requires I strip the HTML. I have writtten a macro to do this, but still an extra step.

2nd. AW2K removes standard HTML symbols when it uploades to eBay. If I enter 3 ½" it appears on the eBay listing as 3 ". The ½ symbol is dropped. I must enter as 1/2. I have hundreds of lisitngs already written that I swtiched from Channel Advisor. eBay seems to support standard HTML symbols. They are there in the AW2K description. They are not there when the listing is uploaded. I can manually edit the lisitng on eBay and paste the symbol back in. The drop is clearly in the upload from AW2K to eBay.

Thanks,

Butch
