Loony Paypal payer

I've got a buyer in Hong Kong who has now paid me four times -- once shortly after the auction ended and three more times after her item was shipped. Refunding these additional payments is not very time-consuming, but I don't see a way to make her stop. I've written her polite notes, but she hasn't responded. She mentioned at one point that her assistant was handling payments for her eBay purchases.

Is there some automated message eBay might be sending to trigger each new payment? For some reason, the additional payments have all been for just the bid price -- no shipping included.

I'm tempted to let the most recent payment just sit there a while and see if she makes an issue of it. I wouldn't keep it forever, but sheesh! How is it my job to rein in her "charitable" contributions, and one wonders how many other eBay sellers are getting these bonus payments?

Has this ever happened to any of you?

Sue
