Using AW to manage Etsy sales

Here's how I use AW to manage Etsy sales. Please feel free to critique the steps and make suggestions. I'm sure there's more than one way to de-flea this cat.

1. You receive the Etsy Order Confirmation email.

2. Still in the email window, copy some words from your Etsy title and then find the AW Lot by searching with those words (Lots tab) in either the AW Title or Description fields, depending on where you place your Etsy titles. I put the title and everything else in the AW description box, because often my Etsy titles are too long for the title box which is restricted to the number of characters eBay allows. Then I copy the entire contents of the "description" to a digital post-it note and drag and drop from that note to the fields at Etsy.

(Tip: I paste the following bits of into from the Order Confirmation into a digital post-it note to have at the ready for this process: AW Lot #, sale price, buyer's email, and buyer's Etsy ID).

3. Now that you've located your Etsy Lot, go to that Lot and change its Status to Off Line (do not mark it Sold Not Shipped).

4. Create a new Invoice:

===Click the plus sign at the top of the Invoices window;
===On the New-Invoice dialog box, select your Etsy Profile and click Add Buyer;
===Paste in the buyer's email address from the Etsy Order Confirmation and click OK.

5. Go to the Invoice you just created and paste the buyer's ETSY USER ID into the EMAIL ADDRESS FIELD (this is the only way to get AW to save the user ID; you'll change this later).

6. Click the plus sign to add the Etsy item to the invoice (the Add Invoice Item plus sign is right above the Lot # on the Invoice window). After finding and selecting the Lot you sold, enter the sale price and any other pertinent data.

7. Once the Lot has been added to the Invoice, you can also enter your payment due date on the Status tab and select the Ship Via method.

8. Now check to confirm the buyer's Etsy ID is saved on the User IDs tab, and then paste their email address into the email address field (in other words, highlight the user ID which you earlier placed in that field and replace it with the email address).

9. Go back to the Etsy Order Confirmation email and, with the Database Record Panel showing, locate the Invoice you just created, highlight the buyer's name and shipping address in the Etsy email, and click the blue button at the top to store that information.

10. Now contact your Etsy buyer or go to Etsy and generate an invoice.
